WHO IS AUNTIE TE??? Once upon a time, there was a small, quaint shop Theresa Cizmar owned with two other friends in Northern Virginia. However, Theresa, aka "Auntie TE", envisioned bigger and better things. She opened Auntie TE's, her solo venture, in 1991 in Annandale, VA. After many successful years in Annandale, Theresa lugged the entire contents of her store to Ravensworth Shopping Center in Springfield in 1997. Auntie TE's has recently moved back to Annandale and has expanded with new items; including funky jewelry, sophisticated handbags, shabby chic hand- painted furniture, among other fabulous things at shockingly low prices. She makes regular shopping trips to New York City for the newest trends. Stop by and check us out! We're sure you'll find something really cool...and at a bargain! Theresa Cizmar currently lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, Pete, and her dogs, Benny Brew Haha, Hatch and Sydney. You can regularly see her daughter, Kerry, in the store while her youngest daughter, Melissa, lives in LA. Her son, Darian, and his family live in Richmond, VA. She has three granddaughters, Devan (10 years old), Maddy (8 years old) and Grace (5 years old). She also has a grandson, Drew (13 years old) and a brand-new grandson, Rees, born February 2009. Theresa is a six+ year breast cancer survivor and regularly participates in the Komen National Race for the Cure as the captain of Team Auntie TE's. |
